How to Develop the Right Mindset for Christian Blogging Success

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you. Proverbs 23:7  (NKJV)

We all want to be successful Christian bloggers.

But this is not always the case.

While we know that God has put the desire in our hearts to blog for His glory, we struggle with self-limiting mindset.

Out of the many blogs that are started each year very few of them succeed including those in the Christian niche. Now, if God is the one who puts the desire to blog in our hearts why do most Christian bloggers fail?

I mean God has promised to bless the works of our hands right?

The success of your blog is tied to your obedience to God and secondly, to your mindset.

Long before you include systems, consistency and other things that will help you become successful, you have to develop the right mindset for your blogging business.

The idea of starting and running a Christian blog is probably making you scared.

I get you. I have been there.

It can be overwhelming. So many questions and doubts cross your mind, and you start wondering whether you heard right like, was it God? Will I make it given that there are many bloggers in this niche? Will people read my content? How will I monetize my blog? Is it okay to monetize my blog? The list goes on….

But remember God has put this in your heart, so believe Him.

Mindset is an essential thing in blogging and life in general.

How you see yourself as a person and a blogger will determine the level of success you will achieve. Why? Because your thoughts can work for or against you.

See yourself succeeding

To build a successful blog you first of all need to see yourself successful.  Begin with the end in mind.

If you see yourself succeeding you will, if you think you will fail, you will fail.

Do not start your blog on fantasies or fear.

There is a lot of information about blogging and how to succeed in the blogosphere. Some of it will leave you feeling intimidated, and some will give you falls hope.

Find the right information about blogging before you start your site by carrying out thorough research.

It doesn’t mean that you should know everything from the start, this is a learning process you never really arrive even when you become successful, you will keep learning. Just learn the basics to have the right foundation.

Remember this is a calling.

If God tells you to do something, then you will succeed.

If the creator of the universe has faith in you, who are you to doubt yourself?

Be strong and courageous.

Follow God’s leading and come up with aggressive goals for your site. Doing this will help you make significant gains for Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.

Read the word of God and find Bible verses about success and courage. They will build you up and you will be strengthened in faith for your business. When you are strong and courageous, you will attempt great things for God as a blogger and entrepreneur.

The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

Proverbs 28:1 (NIV)

Have a child’s faith and be bold like a lion.

Belong to Online Communities that will help you develop the right mindset

We all need to belong.

Why? That is a desire that God has placed deep in our hearts.

If you think you will succeed online alone then think again!

It is vital to join different online communities, and they will help you learn more about blogging and business. I suggest that you look for Christian blogging communities and mix with other kinds of blogging communities outside the Christian niche, you will learn a lot by doing that.

There are different linkups that Christian bloggers have set up. There are also different Facebook groups you can join.

If you are struggling with doubts about running a successful blog, then consider taking time off to build your faith and develop the right mindset. Remember to always look up to Jesus the author and perfector of our faith.

  1. Wow, exactly what I needed to hear! I never wrote anything until I felt the Lord say to start a blog two years ago. I haven’t felt successful, but I know God called me to do this. I’m posting this to my wall:

“If God tells you to do something, then you will succeed.

If the creator of the universe has faith in you, who are you to doubt yourself?”

    Thanks for the encouragement.

  2. You’re welcome Jodee and feel free to post. Just like Joseph, God is with you and you’re successful. It may not seem so now but, that’s just a season of preparation for something great! Glad you feel encouraged.

  3. Definitely consider that that you said. Your favourite justification appeared to be on the internet the easiest factor to keep in mind of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed at the same time as other folks think about issues that they just don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the entire thing without having side-effects , other people can take a signal. Will likely be again to get more. Thank you
